December 8, 2011 - Jim Halbeisen, Ian Archibald, Terry Norris, Rodney Moore.

Jim Halbeisen opened the call with a summary of the Growers Sales meeting. Ian Archibald summarized Dr. Don Huber's talk on GMOs and glyphosate. Terry Norris introduced Rodney Moore. He talked about his farm and yields in peanuts, corn, soybeans.  1 hour 2 minutes.

November 10, 2011 - Jim Halbeisen and Dick James.

GMS district manager Dick James from southwestern Michigan explained his own farming experiences and discussed spraying GMS using hard water.

October 13, 2011 - Mike Grube and Lester Nolt from Wisconsin.

Lester discussed the feeding of high quality forages to his dairy cattle and he believes in raising high quality forages, since he feeds a much higher forage than grain ration.

August 11, 2011 - Jim Halbeisen, Daniel Weaver and Steve Esh

Jim Halbeisen, Growers Director of Research reviewed the recent
USDA crop report. 

Daniel Weaver, Growers rep from Georgia discussed a forage yield analysis
by the local county agent. "We got the quality and a yield advantage..." 

Steve Esh told of his success with his strawberries, peaches and sweet
corn on heavy clay soils in Georgia.  58.5 minutes.

July 14, 2011 - Jim Halbeisen, Dave Armstrong and Solomon Hershberger

Jim Halbeisen talked about the markets, crop quality and foliar feeding Growers Mineral Solutions.  "You have to be careful. Make sure you have dewfall to work with. Possibly use some water, or hold back on the total volume of GMS. Timing is very important, get out there earlier in morning, or later in afternoon."

Dave Armstrong and Solomon Hershberger of central and eastern Iowa came on the call. They talked about Solomon's dairy goats and neighbors using a fine high calcium limestone with their produce. in drip tapes for top quality.  1 hour, 7 minutes.


June 9, 2011 - Jim Halbeisen and Matt Gooding on Water Quality

Jim focused on water quality issues customers may encounter while foliar feeding their crops and forages. He emphasized understanding water chemistry is a necessary key to successful foliar feeding GMS, especially when mixed with other materials and/or diluted with hard water.

About half way through the call, Matt Gooding of Tiffin, Ohio, came on with some very interesting points and sidelights involving his experiences dealing with hard water. For some of his larger customers he has suggested relatively inexpensive storage facilities for soft rain water and how to avoid algae growth.  1 hour, 5 minutes.


May 12, 2011 - Jim Halbeisen and Joe Altermatt

Jim discussed water quality issues and the recent federal planting progress report.  "If you think you are a little bit behind with planting, we at Growers Chemical Corporation think you can make some of it up through foliar spraying (of Growers Mineral Solutions).  Foliar feeding is a way to bring that crop along and bring the maturation along.

Joe Altermatt, a long term Growers produce customer and sales representative from Michigan explained how GMS is used in his operation.  "I call it my insurance plan....I transplant everything with Growers...All vegetables respond favorably to Growers foliar feeding.  1 hour, 7 minutes.


April 14, 2011 - Jim Halbeisen and Ian Archibald

Jim discussed current events.  Ian Archibald is a Growers district manager in Ontario and talked about his personal experiences using GMS on his own farm.  In the past he has raised hogs.  Currently he is raising field crops and produce.  He details using GMS with his sprayer, trickle irrigation and transplant solution.  He explained his use of calcium and his composting system.  Questions included brix numbers on produce, glyphosate resistant sugar beet lime and producing sweet corn without fungicides.  1 hour, 5 minutes.


March 10, 2011 - Jim Halbeisen and Terry Norris

Jim  discusses fertilizer prices and the Middle East unrest, calcium - reduced fertilizer salt - biological theory, and the application of Growers Mineral Solutions. Terry Norris, Growers district manager in North and South Carolina, gives field updates.  Growers Nutritional Additive is discussed. 1 hour, 16 minutes.


February 10, 2011 - Jim Halbeisen and Aaron Widrick

Aaron and his brother milk just over 100 cows, farming 470 acres near Watertown, New York.  They have used GMS out in the field and with the cows since 1996.  "I'm getting paid lawyer's fees to feed 2 ounces of Growers to the cows!"  1 hour, 4 minutes.


January 13, 2011 - Jim Halbeisen and Scott McIver 

Scott runs a registered Polled Hereford and Saler cattle farm in west-central Minnesota. He is a second generation Growers customer.  60 minutes. 

December 9, 2010 - Jim Halbeisen and Martin Flora

At about the halfway mark, Jim introduces Martin Flora of Georgia.  Martin describes his use of GMS in produce fields in both Georgia and the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.  1 hour, 8 minutes.
