Jim began the call by talking about the USDA Prospective Planting report. He then introduced David Armstrong of central Iowa. Dave said while there hasn't been a lot of tillage in the area, one operator had planted 400 acres of corn and it was up. They talked about conventional soybeans for flour, the low milk prices and high rental rates. 16 minutes.

Mike Grube discussed the ag month, talking of weather patterns, water quality issues, the use of GMS as a starter and foliar spray and quality forages. Paul Dotterer of central Maryland talked about his history with the Growers Program and how he now produces his corn, beans, wheat and hay. He also custom sprays for Growers customers. 46 minutes.
