Jim Halbeisen  discussed the dry weather and planting percentages.  Mike Bulcher, a third generation Growers customer discussed conditioning your water to make GMS work most effectively with foliar spraying. 64 minutes.
 

April 11, 2012 - GCC Ag Update - Jim Halbeisen, David Prater

Jim talked about the April 2012 Crop Production and World Agricultural Supply Demand Estimates and the USDA Crop Progress Report.  David is from central Illinois and he said some farmers in his area are done planting corn - a month ahead of schedule.  Said soil moisture is exceedingly dry.  13 minutes.

April 3, 2012 - GCC Ag Update - Jim Halbeisen, David Armstrong

Jim began the call by talking about the USDA Prospective Planting report.  He then introduced David Armstrong of central Iowa.  Dave said while there hasn't been a lot of tillage in the area, one operator had planted 400 acres of corn and it was up.  They talked about conventional soybeans for flour, the low milk prices and high rental rates.  16 minutes. 

March 8, 2012  -  Conf Call - Mike Grube, Paul Dotterer

Mike Grube discussed the ag month, talking of weather patterns, water quality issues, the use of GMS as a starter and foliar spray and quality forages.  Paul Dotterer of central Maryland talked about his history with the Growers Program and how he now produces his corn, beans, wheat and hay.  He also custom sprays for Growers customers.  46 minutes.

 

February 9, 2012 - Conf. Call - Mike Grube, Allen Stockberger

Mike Grube discussed U of Maryland's finding in their trials with high calcium limestone and Growers. Long term Growers customer, Allen Stockberger of Ohio, discussed Growers history, the evolution of his own farm and the marketing of his specialty popcorn, tofu soybeans and hard red wheat.  55 minutes.

January 12, 2012 - Conf. Call -  Mike Grube, Brian Williams

Mike Grube introduced the call with the latest reports from the USDA.  He discussed the Growers Program and quality in the crops.  Brian Williams, a row crop and vegetable grower in Michigan, discussed using the Growers Program with his crops, particularly potatoes.  52 minutes.
